- Location: The industrial city is located in the north-east of Syria, 15kilometers from the city of Aleppo. It is situated between the central section of the old Almusslmieh Road and the old Albab Road and is 45km away from the Turkish borders, 146 km from the city of Hama, 193km from Homs, 456km from Da'ra, 355 km from Damascus, 186 km from Latakia, 276km from Tartous, 125 km from Antakieh, 165km from Iskandaron and 6 km from Aleppo International Airport.
- The total area of the city and the land distribution:
The city has a total area of / 4412 / km², including:
/ 1985 / km² of industrial divisions.
· / 68 / km² of the Management Center.
· / 52 / km² of the Trade Center.
· / 1138 / km² of green areas, including the Green Belt leading to the main roads.
· / 320 / km² of main roads.
· / 849 / km² of workers and laborers’ accommodation.
The city is sandwiched between the eastern and southern sides of the protection strip area, which covers 1490 hectares and is considered as a green belt buffer for the city, which shall remain in the hands of the original owners without changing its agricultural function.
- Industrial divisions:
The city contains / 6122 / industrial divisions distributed as follows:
- / 2275 / divisions with an area of / 150-600 / m².
- / 1844 / divisions with an area of / 700-4000 / m².
- / 801 / divisions with an area of / 4250-15000 / m².
- / 878 / settled factories.
- / 324 / cargo offices.
Further divisions may be integrated depending on space required. Industries in the city have been distributed taking into account the environmental impact and the wind direction / Food - tissue - engineering - chemical /.
- Estimated costs:
The estimated gross cost for the city is /13.7/ billion Syrian pounds, implemented in three stages, ending in 2020.
- Subsidies provided by the State:
The total cumulative value of state subsidies amounted to SYP2.990 billion until the year 2006, in addition to financing power transfer stations under a loan from the Arab Economic and Social Development Fund, totaling / 3 / million Kuwaiti dinars and other benefits provided in the coming years when needed.
- Sources of Water:
- Drinking water: from the city of Aleppo water network.
- Industrial water from the Euphrates River.
- Climate:
- Land in the industrial city can be rocky and hard.
- Temperatures range from -3°C in winter to 41°C in summer.
- Average relative humidity is (59%).
- Studies, and implementation and the cumulative expenditure:
- Preparations for studies were launched at the beginning of 1998 and the implementations were started at the beginning of 2000.
- The total value of the cumulative expenditure up to mid-2006 has reached approximately 5.6 billion Syrian pounds.
- The completion of the infrastructure implementation / roads - water - electricity - sewage - phones - gardens). The first stage covered an area of 550 hectares, the second stage area was 618 hectares, the third stage area was 1768 hectares, all of which were already launched, in addition to the services buildings / phone departments – fire stations - clinics – police station – One Stop Shop - Management /, also the government banks buildings are being implemented such as / The Commercial - Industrial – Real estate and the Insurance Banks / since the beginning of 2007.

The initial price per square meter of industrial division was / SYP900 / plus the cost of electricity transfer stations.

- The number of investors allocated with divisions: 1962 for the total area of 4558513m².

- The number of factories already built: / 538 / factories.

- The total value of the dedicated (allocated) divisions: / 4,102 / billion Syrian pounds.
- The gross value of incomes (one third of the value of divisions + premium): 2,688 billion Syrian pounds.
- The industrial city construction regulation system:
The construction regulation system is applied according to the industrial division areas and is distributed over several categories, as follows:
- Category I: from 450m² to 600m², the building proportion shall range from 56% to 60%.
- Category II: from 700m² to 4000m², the building proportion shall range from 62% to 80%.
- Category III: from 4250m² to 15000m², and the building proportion shall range from 65% to 80%.
With possibility to change the dimensions of the front and rear and side yards according to the space categories.
